Then there was the softcore parody called Lord of the G-Strings I saw on Showtime one night. That had wizards in it.

Bell Book and Candle is an old-timey one.

There's THE WIZARD with Fred Savage, and of course THE WIZ with Michael Jackson and Nipsey Russell.

There's that one movie with the rings and stuff.   :teddyr:

And then there's this:

It was exactly what the trailer makes it look like.  Uber-cheesy.

That preview just pushed all the right buttons for me.  I must see that!

Umaril The Unfeathered

The Magic Serpent, an old Japanese fantasy movie from the 1960's had an evil wizard in it, trying to destroy a young prince who was being trained in magic and fighitng skills by a very old Ninja warrior\sorceror.  Great movie if you can see it.

Also, Daiei studios' Yokai Monster really blew me away; what fascinating ancient folklore the Japanese had! This one had it's share of sorcerors and wizards in it too, although the Yokai were the main focus.

Oddly there was a movie (or cable movie) that had a wizard... I dont remember much about the movie because I remember not actually liking the movie; it was something like a kid movie with kids going back in to medieval times) anyway there was a kickass scene (saddly the only for this movie although I have never seen it done in anyother movie) in the scene the kids and wizard was being chased by some bad knights and he magically casted a brickwall for their escape. I dont remember if the effect was cheesy or not... I just remember thinking that was a perfectly cool answer in a D&D game... :)

Hammock Rider

Torin Thatcher was pretty good as the evil magician Sokurah in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.

That reminds me that Tom Baker (of Dr. Who fame) played the evil wizard in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad.
