The second section of the game (after you enter the very first door at the beginning) has one of the most memorable musical pieces in any NES game.  It just creeps into your head and won't leave!
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Right now I'm engaging in some good old backward-compatible goodness on the Xbox-360.   I'm playing the first Fatal Frame and a wild-western vampire shooter called Darkwatch.

Darkwatch is great: "Death fears those who wear the badge"....

I remember Darkwatch.  I didn't like it for the beginning.  I'm not a fan of the opening levels and gave up early on it.  I have seen some more advanced into the game play and it looks like it gets better.  Isn't this the one that also had some controversy at the time?

I'm not exactly sure of what controversy that might be, unless it's the cut scene where our hero, Jerciho Cross, is visited in the nude by the spirit of a dead Darkwatch agent that informs him that he can't drink water because it'll kill him.

You see everything on this girl too, nipples included.  Maybe that might be it?

Anyhow I'm inclined to agree..the game is nothing spectacular, but the storyline and the extra powers you get as a vampire (both good and evil powers) are pretty cool. Some neat weapons too.   And you get "bloodvision" which allows you to see the undead too, which was a nice little touch!

Not a bad game, but for 5 bucks (and 2 free original XBox games thrown in) I decided to join the Darkwatch

Yeah the nude agent was the thing that aroused a little ire.  I think it was not top priority but it was billed big at the time.  I think although inaccurately they billed as the first sex scene in a major video game.  Which, I think was over the top but it did get a few fuming people.  I remember one for the Genesis called Deathwatch.  A little violent but people hated it at the time though tame now in comparison of things.

Geez, if the watchdogs were upset about the nude agent in Darkwatch, I wonder how they felt when the topless women shook their booties in Conan's face in the game for the '360 a few years back, or the nude women in The Godafther 2.  :bouncegiggle:

I'd love to see one of the companies defy the ESRB and make a nude game with jiggle physics, aka "individual breast" physics.  Everyone's so hung up about t!tties these days...

So there wasn't an actual sex scene with moaning and screaming and rhythmically bouncing bodies?  Because that is what I heard about: it was more than just some simple nudity.

I haven't gotten that far in the game to see if that happened yet. But now that I heard about this, I'll have to make a note of it  :teddyr:

I think this is what the moral guardians want sex scenes to be like in video games.

I'm trying to remember.  I didn't get that far so never actually saw anything myself.  I thought more vampires + old west = fun.  Sadly, the equation was vampires + old west + boring gameplay early on = I'm selling this for a Call of Duty game.  Either that or Chinese food.  I'll have to contact my brother he got through it and see if he remembers.

Finally got the trophy in Gran Turismo 5 for taking a Nissan GT-R around the Nurburgring in 7:29 or less.  I did in 7:29.77, then 7:29.33, then 7:29.181.  FINALLY I did it in 7:28

This picture would be a great one for the "Humorous Captions" section.  :bouncegiggle:

Been playing Dead Space 2 for a few days now.  I've only made it to chapter 3 so far.  It definitely maintains the scariness of the first game, but I don't think the sprawl is nearly as good an environment as the Ishimura from the first game.  That whole sense of isolation just isn't there.  Gameplay is pretty much the same, with some new weapons and some new enemies.  I don't have enough credits to buy any of the new weapons yet - I'm spending it all on health packs and ammo.  I think I screwed up and set the difficulty one notch above normal, which is making it a bit more of a pain in the butt than it needs to be.

Like I say, I'm only on chapter 3 so I'm sure the game has a ton more in store as I get farther into it.

I'm workin' on Dante's Inferno right now, and as evidenced by my individual post about the game, it's not hard to see how much I like it.  I never played anything like this one before. What a wonderfuly sick and twisted game.

Oh talked to my brother about that scene in Darkwatch.  He says no that is not it but rather with Talia near the end of the game.

You know, for some reason, I just can't get into that game.  I tried playing it, but I just can't enjoy it like everyone.  Maybe its because I can't shake the cops when running or some of the controls kind of bug me, but I just don't enjoy it.

Anyways, I'm currently playing Phoenix Wright: Justice for All on the DS.  Solved two murder mysteries and now on my third one involving a magician and a crazy bunch of people at a circus.

I'm up to chapter 10 in Dead Space 2.  I have to say, the first 6 chapters were really poor - just going through a bunch of nearly identical rooms, getting attacked by a ton of necromorphs, with no story whatsoever.  Once I got to chapter 7 however, things really picked up and it became much more like the first Dead Space game, with lots of missions to complete, much more interesting environments, and the whole game just improved by 100%.  I'm really enjoying it now.

I just finished Dante's Inferno this past Friday, and now I'm working on some old gold...after having beaten Fatal Frame a few weeks back, I now have a copy of Fatal Frame 2:Crimson Butterfly that I'm giving a whirl. Not too bad so far.
