Two of my favorites:

The Overlook Hotel caretaker job in The Shining. I always envy Jack Nicholson's character whenever I watch this Stanley Kubrick classic. I can totally see me doing that, minus evil ghosts and insanity of course.

The Medical Supply Warehouse job in The Return of the Living Dead. I would have loved working there and doing what Freddy (Thom Mathews) was about to do before the zombie disaster. A quiet, easy job with a pretty neat location. And James Karen as my colleague would have been the awesome.

I work in the South African film industry so I guess I have a pretty cool movie job.

That is a cool job! Beats working in a cannery (sigh. :bluesad:.)

I'd like to work in a comic shop-like the guy in TRUE ROMANCE. Then I could read CREEPY and EC Comics all day.

Not a movie, but in the TV show Banacek, there was this guy named Felix Mulholland who owned a rare book store.  Very old and elegant place, always with some classical music playing in the background.

In every episode Banacek (George Peppard) would show up asking him to research something about a case he was investigating.  I could picture myself doing that.  Wouldn't mind being named Felix either   :teddyr:

Agreed, seems like at least would be a good part time job.

I've thought the same thing myself. Several months with a luxury hotel all to yourself, nobody but your own family for miles, commercial kitchen fully stocked with food, enough space that you can use a gigantic lounge as your personal office, and nothing required of you but to fiddle with the heating and do a little maintenance. I could handle getting paid for that.

Yeah minus the anoying ghosts and cabin fever I'd be cool running around that place.

I used to think it would be really cool to have a job like Cemetary Man..but now that I'm older I don't think I could handle a job that morbid.

I've always thought those would be really cool too!  Although I would want the ghosts at the hotel, just not the madness.. the creepy hauntedness is the fun part!  I still kind of want to visit that hotel one day.

Hammock Rider

In Good Guys Wear Black Chuck norris played an ex-Special Forces guy who now teaches high-school history and drives a race car. That's pretty cool.

I wouldn't mind having Peter Vincent's job, minus the strenuous vampire slaying.

You wanna know something weird?  A movie job I think would be cool is Ernie the undertaker's job from the same movie! (Before the zombies came around, of course).  Actually, since I watched Return of the Living Dead, I've been seriously considering becoming a funeral home director/undertaker/embalmer.  (I probably won't end up doing that, but it's a fun thought :tongueout: )

Also a newspaper reporter who could disappear for days chasing after a single interesting story his editor told him not to cover. If the real job was anything like that, I would still be doing it. :teddyr:

Johnny Depp's character in Ninth Gate has a pretty cool job. Dean Corso (Depp) is a rare-book dealer.

in Ninja Assassin the heroine is a criminal data analyst for Interpol.  I'd love to do that stuff...just scan any sourc eof information for suspecious activity and put stuff together to spot trends.
