MST3K: Manos Hands of Fate Question

When my brother and I were watching the Mystery Science Theater 3 Thousand episode: Manos the Hands of Fate. We were confused by the ending of the show here's how it went

Doctor Forester and Frank had ordered a pizza earlier and it's late they stand there a while then Mike/Torgo pizza guy walks in walking like Torgo and Togro theme music playing. He's carring the pizza in.
(i'm doing these lines from memory so they'll probably off a little)

Torgo Pizza Guy: Large...Pizza.
Forester: Finally! Hey we ordered soda with this.
Torgo Pizza Guy: uhh they're in the van i'll go get them (begins walking away slowly)
Frank: (tastes pizza) Hey! this is still warm.
Forester: Yeah it should be cold by now.
(Forester and Frank's eye bulge out and they spit the pizza out)
Torgo Pizza Guy: Eh.. they always do that.

we've been wondering what's up with that?

Well, before dominoe's invented that insulated heat bag, down Torgo's pants was the only other option for keeping a pizza warm that long.

There certainly was enough room for a large pizza in there.

Actually, Torgo did pull the pizza box from an insulated bag.  But he did reach into his pants for some "Crazy Bread," so....
