...or whatever the hell it's called. Trailer's up.

I abhor the faux-snuff garbage that makes up the average slasher movie almost as much as I loathe crappy, doin'-it-for-the-buck sequels, but some of you've been waiting for it, so...don't say I never done nothin' for ya.

HamishT

i downloaded the teaser earlier, looks good, Freddy kicks ass, jason will probably win

Looks good to me.  But, then again, I own two seperate but equally dreadful films bearing the title Dracula v. Frankenstien, and voluntarily watched Shark Attack 3 so what do I know?

Thanks for the link, Squishy.  As a side note, has anyone heard how they're going to do the ending for Freddy Vs. Jason?  Last time I heard, which was a long time ago, they were going to film two separate endings.  One had Jason winning, and the other had Freddy winning.  Supposedly they were going to send each ending randomly out to certain theaters where the movie would be showing.  Am I crazy, or did anyone else hear about this?  I definitely think it's an interesting idea, but I don't know how it would play out.  Anyways, I have faith in this movie.  It's directed by Ronny Yu, who did a good job with Bride of Chucky.

And as another side note, who do you guys think would win?  Freddy or Jason?  I'd go with Freddy, but all my friends think I'm insane.  They say that Jason's an animal that never sleeps.  I counter with the fact that Freddy could disguise himself as Jason's mom and trick him.  Yeah, Freddy gets his ass kicked all the time in his movies, but it's all about mind games.

Does ANYBODY know if this movie is gonna be released in South America?

illcos

whoa - there is a third one?  the second one was so bad it was good - the third must be as bad/good!

Brother Ragnarok

The scene of the baddie on the jet ski at the end of Shark Attack 3 is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.  Total old-school James Bond CSO screen.
And the scene in the trailer where Jason comes flying out of Crystal Lake made me fill my pants with joy.  I can't wait to see this movie, it's gonna rule all ass.  And, Katherine Isabelle is in it.  Surely no one can complain about THAT?

Brother R

There are only two important things in life - monsters and hot chicks.
    - Rob Zombie
Rape is just cause for murdering.
    - Strapping Young Lad

Actually its better than Shark Attack 2 and benefits from being insanely silly.  Plus, it has a jaw dropper of a line.

I, for one, am quite looking forward to this - mostly because I grew up on these faux-snuff time wasters and have a certain nostalgia for them (as horrendously tacky as it is to admit to).  So I will go and waste money seeing it on the big screen.  Hell, I liked Jason X and Halloween: Resurrection well enough (and yes, I am well aware that MM IS NOT in this, I was making a point about the slasher junk of my youth still being around as a source of entertainment).  Nice to have Freddy back, I haven't seen him in awhile.

28 Days Later remains THE horror movie of the year for me, though.

All the early reviews are definetly glowing.  I'm looking forward to it.  The teaser trailer is good as well.

Just watched the trailer.  This movie looks like it has some ass kicking potential.  I'm looking forward to it all the more.

In response to your 2 versions of Drac vs Frank, I'm a nut for the Bad Movies of Jacinto "Paul Naschy" Molina and my favorite turkey of his , ASSIGNMENT TERROR was also released with a bogus DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN title.  If it features Michael Rennie leading aliens who use a vampire, a mummy a misnamed Frankenstein Monster and Naschy's recurring werewolf character Waldemar Daninsky in a plot to take over the world, THAT'S IT!!!
If it's DRACULA, PRISONER OF FRANKENSTEIN which has ALSO been released as DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN it would instead be by Jess Franco and feature a Dracula who never leaves his coffin, a "werewolf" who looks like he's wearing a mudpack on his face and a drunken Dr Frankenstein, plus a VERY aniclimactic ending.  (And no, I'm not forgetting the "real" Drac vs Frank by Al Adamson which I'm sure is one of the versions you have.)
Anyway, if it's the Naschy movie I was wondering if you like his other Bad Movies like DR JEKYLL VS THE WOLFMAN, THE WEREWOLF VS THE YETI, THE HUNCHBACK OF THE RUE MORGUE, THE WEREWOLF VS THE VAMPIRE WOMAN,  or HOUSE OF PSYCHOTIC WOMEN?
Yes, I'm the irritating guy who's endlessly trying to give Naschy/Molina his Bad Movie Icon due since a lot of people seem to have never heard of the guy, which I find absolutely mystifying(no pun intended.)
