It just occured to me that I used to watch this show during the first season or two, and thought is was a ridiculous and funny show, meaning I liked it. It was a spoof of Baywatch and was notable in it's use of sexual innuendo in a lot of it's jokes. It ran in the early 2000's on FX. One of the funniest and wierdest aspects of the show was that central character "Notch" Johnson, who was the show's version of the David Hasselhoff character, was this pasty and out-of-shape dork with a potbelly, yet was treated as if he were the hunky older guy that his Baywatch counterpart was supposed to be.

Awesome show, and seems just the kind of thing that members of this board would like, yet I searched for it on the forums and couldn't find anything. Did anyone else watch this show?

Yeah, I saw it a couple of times, not bad.  Star/co-creator Timothy Stack (Notch Johnson) had a show before that called "Night Stand" that was a parody of the Jerry Springer Show.  I wish I could see that one again to see if it's as funny as I remembered!

I used to watch Son of the Beach pretty regularly.  Figured nobody here watched it since it had Howard Stern's involvement and most members here seem to not like Howard Stern.  I'm a big fan of his, so I watched this pretty regularly.

Wasn't that on the E! Network?

I believe Stack was also on the old Fox show Parker Lewis Can't Lose as the father.  Funny guy.  I used to watch Night Stand regularly too.  I was probably a bit young to be watching it, but I would regularly tune into that as well as Howard Stern's tv shows.

I think I caught that show near the end of its run, and I really got a kick out of it.  Especially the German lifeguard (Chip Rommel) who would occasionally lapse into "Mach, schnell!"  The main babe was very memorable too   :teddyr:

Probably, I don't remember.

I watched "Night Stand" very late on a local channel, so my guess is that it was in first run syndication. Perhaps the E channel was also showing it, but my cable company wasn't providing the E channel in those days.
