Sorry to hear that Sister Grace. Condolences to you and your family. Me, I dearly loved my grandmothers but both have been gone for a long time now. One died when I was 12 following a stroke and gangrene that saw her lose a leg (she was a dear woman who greatly loved me) and the other who was the nicest, sweetest, most loving person I've ever known in my entire life died in a terrible way suffering from bone cancer although I know her faith was of great help and inspiration for her. I still miss them both but especially so on holidays and family get togethers.

While your loss is new,  the passing of my maternal grandmother had it's tenth anniversary on Feb. 28th of 2011. I've been struggling with my own loss. 

It will get better, but for now it's going to hurt. Hopefully, the memories of the good times, and the fact that you had her in your life, will help you over the rough spots.

First of all, thank you everyone for your support and kind words. It's nice to have friends as good as you guys in times like these.
I miss my grandma. when i was a kid, we were pretty close, even though she use to tell me that i was headed straight to prison. My grandma was old-skool, stoic and very strong. She could be mean, being married for my grandp for decades, she had to be. She made the best breakfasts and awesome chicken pot pie. I get alot of my fashion sense from my grandmother. As i said, she was old skool. My grandmother was a lady of fitted dresses and hats. Even when she got sick and was bed-ridden in pjs, she still wore a hat. She may have loved Jack Daniels when she was younger, but she always had class.
I will miss her.
