I'm sure most people here are MST3K. Where would we be with MST3K? So many bad movies to make fun of and so many already done by MST3K. My appreciation goes to those brave souls that watched that crap and reviewed it on the show. I'll forever remember the 3 distinguished shadows sitting in front of the screen. How I wish that show was still running.

I discovered the show in its 3rd season, when it was just hitting its stride.  I was shocked when Joel left in the middle of season five but stuck it through and came to like Mike, too.  I never followed the show to the Sci-Fi channel, though.  The Sci-fi years took some getting used to on DVD, but I've come to appreciate them---always missed TV's Frank, though.

The show was feeling stale to me after Frank left and the movies for the most part unremarkable. The Sci-Fi deal gave them access to some great sci-fi and horror films like THE SHE CREATURE, THE LEECH WOMAN, and REVENGE OF THE CREATURE. I even enjoyed the adventures of Pearl, Dr. Bobo, and Brain Guy!

Season 7, with Dr. Forrester trying to go it with Pearl, was painful.  I was disappointed in the Movie too (though I like it now), so I kind of assumed the show would suck on Sci-fi and never checked it out.  Now I wish I had.  There are some classic Sci-fi episodes (SPACE MUTINY comes to mind as maybe the series' best show!)

Agree completely.  I could make my OWN smart remarks watching any horrible movie...

I first discovered it as a five year old through my eccentric aunt (she's the cruel woman responsible for my love for bad monster/killer animal movies being born), Manos and Beginning of the End being my first episodes.
I don't have a preference with the hosts or eras (and I own all ten seasons, save the few missing KTMA episodes, so there >P). As long as Crow and Servo are there, I don't mind who the host or the mads are. I've seen em all, own em all, love em all. I watch an episode at least once every weekend, sort of a tradition.
My absolute favorites are Final Sacrifice, Werewolf, Zombie Nightmare, Fire Maidens from Outer Space, Manos: The Hands of Fate, Hobgoblins and Soultaker.

I discovered MST3K two years ago and have liked it ever since. My only complaint is the same as RCMerchant's in that the seats, robots, and either Mike or Joel make it impmossible to see the entire screen of whatever film they are watching.

We got the Sci Fi channel in 1998 and after the first episode I saw I was hooked. I was 13 and never heard of it. What grabbed my attention was spotting Crow. For years I had seen him drawn into the background of nearly every Science Fiction Parody by Angelo Torres in MAD Magazine and had no idea who it was. Then I saw the show and it all made sense.

Overdrawn at the Memory Bank will probably remain my favorite episode.

I didn't like Pearl but liked everyone else. Definatly TV's frank and the other guy were better than Pearl and the monster thing. Mike was kind of funnier than Joel but I liked them both.

Dr. Earhardt was terrible, ruined season 1.  Can't stand to hear his whiny little voice.  Weinstein was good as Servo, though.
