Umaril The Unfeathered

Stayin' true to my metal roots, hats off to my native New Jersey, and the baddest MF's we ever produced, the one, the only, Overkill

Gotta' give a nod to our Brit brothers and sisters for the short but insanely prolific New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. Just as good now as it was then!

And, goin' back to when I was a lad of 18 in 1982..some old gold from The Rods.

Tam-Riel na nou Sancremath.
Dawn's Beauty is our shining home.

An varlais, nou bala, an kynd, nou latta.
The stars are our power, the sky is our light.

Malatu na nou karan.
Truth is our armor.

Malatu na bala
Truth is power.

Heca, Pellani! Agabaiyane Ehlnadaya!
Be gone, outsiders! I do not fear your mortal gods!

Auri-El na nou ata, ye A, Umaril, an Aran!
Aure-El is our father, and I, Umaril, the king!

Any time I listen to the album Dirt by Alice in Chains I have to crank it up. I think the great "wall of sound" guitar production lends itself well to loud volumes.
ALICE IN CHAINS' Dirt is "wall of sound"...??   It's Grunge; it's just loud... Try this:

1.   "Givin' the Dog a Bone" (AC/DC).  Better the louder you play it, like most AC/DC.   :teddyr:
2.   "Eruption" (Van Halen from the Diamond Dave days).  YES, I went to high school in the eighties, NO I am not sick of that one.

3.   "Crush 'Em"  (Megadeth).

You only need a one word response for this thread which would be...

SLAYER!!!

Haha. I saw the title of this thread, and immediately clicked on it planning to post literally almost the exact same thing. NOTHING makes me want to crank up the volume like Slayer. I'm actually working on a kutte right now, and Slayer was initially the first choice for the honorable position of backpatch, but I ultimately passed when I had difficulty finding a Slayer backpatch that I actually liked. The only one that appealed to me I chose not to go with, because it might make me look like a Nazi (it uses an eagle motif that is disquietingly similar to the eagle used by the Nazi party as part of their imagery).

Friday by Rebecca Black.

Geez. I thought Slayer was good devil-worship music. Rebecca Black's got me beat, though.

I am drawn to it, just as the Dark Lord intended.
