Holy s**t, I didn't realize he died until today. Very sad, I always enjoyed him. A very underrated character actor. If you don't know who I'm talking about, he was Charlie Cheswick from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

The Burgomaster

Ahhh, yes. Sidney Lassick. He was also memorable in the movie CARRIE.

Farewell, old buddy . . .

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

...in the Movie CARRIE.

Playing who?

He was one of the teachers. There's a scene where he reads one of William Katt's poems to the class. Carrie says that the poem is beautiful, and everyone laughs.

He also appears in the prom scene at the end.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Wouldn´t be he smart enough to stay away from that damn prom? Or at least check that none of her students have buckets of pig blood with them?

Anyway,I don´t see really Carrie as a villain. She was more of an anti-heroine,a poor girls swapped by the circusmtances.
But any girl that is raised with such a mother has to be f**ked up!

The Burgomaster

Actually CARRIE is one of those examples of a movie that is better than the book.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Johnny Blister

Mind you,I´ve never read the book.

Nor I plan to.

Good decision. According to legend, Stephen King finished writing CARRIE, and then threw it in the trash. His wife recovered it and got it published for him.

It should have stayed in the trash.

(But then again, if the book had never been published, the movie would not have been made. And the movie is pretty good).

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Oh,and the sequel sucked. They should have brought back Carrie for that one.
