I think this has been offered before, but what the hell. It's a fun topic anyway.

This is either good movie/bad movie. Doesn't matter. What are some of your favorite character names?

Casanova Frankenstein: This has got to be one of my all-time favs. Mystery Men is not a good movie. There are things about it I like, whatever, but the central villain, Casanova Frankenstein, played by Geoffrey Rush, is one cool character and name. It's just such an over-the-top name that is at once semi-contradictory and image heavy. How did he get the name Casanova Frankenstein? It's never explained. Yes, I don't want it to be. Let me imagination run wild.

Rooster Cogburn: Just a great name. That's all.

Otto Maddox: Emilio Estevez's character from Repo Man. What a ridiculous name. Sounds cool but is really just a play on "automatic." And he repossesses cars for a living, making it ever better.

There's a few to get started. I'm sure I can come up with lots more. What are some of your favorites?
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

That's a great one, and I love that film. I love the bit at the end when his name is just repeated over an over.

Yup.  This is one of my "sleeper picks."  I've seen this movie about a dozen times and there are parts that crack me up every time.  I love the scene where DeNiro is sitting in the waiting room at Jerry Lewis' office.  At one point, he's just staring up at the ceiling.  The receptionist starts looking up to figure out what DeNiro is looking at.  Finally, he asks, "Is that cork?"  A hilariously mundane moment.

W.C. Fields always had great character names: Eustace McGargle, Elmer Prettywillie, J. Effingham Bellweather, Augustus Winterbottom, T. Frothingill Bellows.

So did Groucho Marx: Captain Jeffrey T. Spaulding, Prof. Quincy Adams Wagstaff, Rufus T. Firefly, Otis B. Driftwood, Attorney Loophole.

I also like Scott Baio's lawyer character name in "Arrested Development": Bob Loblaw.
