All I can see around the hotel are a bunch of trees and some grass.  There is a rooster outside my window.  The End.

Ahh but its a FOREIGN Rooster.  Small town or not I'm still jealous...go have a schnitzel and do your best.

That was a great story.  Brief, witty, intelligent and full of subtext.  You must have time on your hands to enjoy such beauty. 

Fun Germany Fact I just learnt: Oktoberfest is in September apparently!  That must confuse tourists who want to get drunk and book holidays.

Thinking about it further, how close was the rooster?  I've never been closer than 10 metres from a rooster, and would be curious to see if they actually look like they do in my imagination. 

Plus if he was right by your window, that would be interesting/annoying.
