That looks to be Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

I just watched Metalstorm a few weeks ago.

Here's the next still:

Despite its look, this movie is less than two decades old. It's fairly obscure--out of print--and could easily be described as surrealist.

I've got a better hint, but I'll wait until tonight to post it with another screenshot, if nobody gets it.

Rev. Powell

I know it, but I almost think it would be cheating to guess it because I've talked about it with Mofo a little bit before.  I'll give it a couple of days for someone else to guess but I'll chime in if no one gets it.

It's true that it's out of print in the US but it was released in 2010 in Region 2.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Mofo Rising

Sorry, I can't get a new screenshot until tomorrow.

Here's the big hint: The filmmakers are not know for their live action work. They fairly recently (well, within five years) released only their second film.

The film in question is their first.

Brand Upon The Brain?

Sorry, that's not it.

Here's a second still:

Another hint: The actress in the back is probably most famous for her Star Trek work, a bit unfairly because she's been really good in her other stuff.

That's it.

The actress in the back is Alice Krige, who was the Borg queen.

This is a British sci-fi flim from 1987. The director is known for his ultra low budbget full length features. Don't bother with IMDb it's not listed.
