I've always wondered why bikers wore so much leather even in the hottest summer weather??

If the bike tips over and you end up sliding down the highway at 60 mph, leather is nice rugged stuff and keeps your skin from getting torn off by the pavement.

I'm thinking that if there was a zombie apocalypse, and you had a group of people in a building that you had made relatively safe, would it make sense to let more people in?  There aren't really many advantages - they could do some extra work, but if the group was already self-sufficient, it wouldn't be needed.  But there would be many disadvantages - what if the new person wasn't a team player, or turned out to be lazy, or just generally disrupted the previously harmonious functioning of the group? 

Assuming that there was minimal danger of zombies getting into the building/compound, and there weren't any other groups of hostile humans in the area (in other words, no real need need for an extra gun), I think it might make more sense not to let anyone new in.
