Way, way OT: Hendersonville, N.C.

Hello there folks, just a quick OT topic for you.  A colleague of mine's daughter is going to Hendersonville, North Carolina, as part of her university BUNAC programme, later this summer.

Since a recent topic revealed most of the chaps on this board are American, do any of you have amusing/interesting/terrifying anecdotes about ... Hendersonville/North Carolina?  I will then pass them on to Elliot.

I live here in NC and Hendersonville isn't all that far away.  Can't say I have any humerous stories though. :)

I live in Greensboro, NC, and I can only imagine that isn't too far away. Ummm..... here in NC is where the GGCC golf tournament lost all of its reputation because K-Mart employees (employees of the business that sponsored the GGCC) showed up to the event drunker than hell and harassed everyone. It was like a group of Ted Kennedys walked onto the green and started groping everyone. Thank you K-Mart.
