CC: What's their name?  I mean "the worst band" you've "ever heard"...?  AO  as in a-hole??

A.C.!  oh.

Mr. P Funk himself. Hadn't heard this album in years and found the CD buried somewhere. Long, groovy, straight up freaky funk jams, all tied together loosely with a sci-fi theme. Just listening to it makes on wonder how many hallucinogens were being consumed during those studio sessions. Amazing.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Circus, may I call you "CC"?   I love that nickname, but can see where one wouldn't.

Write your impressions of these seemingly endless new albums you're listening to (and buying... I remember...)  I can't even read the name of that last one!

I'm listening to THE BEACH BOYS Pet Sounds.  I've loved that album a long time, but I've been avoiding it since I've been listening to Smiley Smile () and Wild Honey ().  Also, I usually skip any over-played "hits" on any record I listen to, and I must confess the same is true here.  I often skip the... "hits" but not this time.

Yes, you can and yes, I will. That last one was Virgin Steele's Life Among The Ruins (CD), they're more in the vein of Judas Priest/Iron Maiden and were featured on a few 80s horror movie soundtracks.

I'm giving Warrior Soul's Drugs God & The New Republic (1991) yet another whirl. Had to drown out the neighbour's dog, so I was laid in bed at about 2am with this on.

I've said it once before, and I'll say it again. Warrior Soul are the best band you've never heard. They pre-empted the grunge/alternative movement without ever being part of it. They are punk, rock n' roll, stoner/funk/political. Every song is played with such conviction that it transports you to another place entirely. This band can't be classified, they blow the likes of Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, U2 and RATM off the planet and if you're right-wing then they hate you.

Right now: Hill Top Zone from Sonic The Hedgehog 2.  Love that tune!
