This one has appeared in the offer of my cable company. Is it worth watching?

I say yes.  But be prepared for something extremely offbeat and extremely uneven.

I just watched it. Thought it was pretty good. Better than Napoleon Dynamite in my opinion. But, being a fan of the kind of cheesy old sci-fi books being parodied, I found the parts related to that especially funny. I agree the movie is uneven, and some of the other parts missed the mark for me, but I liked it overall.

I enjoyed it purely because I like Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords.  His youtube video promos for this were quite funny as well

The sci-fi scenes are silly and enjoyable, and the story is nothing fancy, but enjoyable enough.  Very offbeat film...
