Umaril The Unfeathered

I'm 46 and counting, and still kicking out the jams to stuff like heavy metal, classic arcade gaming and console gaming, as well as my own fair share of bad movies!

In fact, I still remember Chiller Theatre on WPIX 11 and Creature Features on WNEW 5 back in the mid-late 70's and the early 80's prior to the demise of each show.

I miss those days...
Tam-Riel na nou Sancremath.
Dawn's Beauty is our shining home.

An varlais, nou bala, an kynd, nou latta.
The stars are our power, the sky is our light.

Malatu na nou karan.
Truth is our armor.

Malatu na bala
Truth is power.

Heca, Pellani! Agabaiyane Ehlnadaya!
Be gone, outsiders! I do not fear your mortal gods!

Auri-El na nou ata, ye A, Umaril, an Aran!
Aure-El is our father, and I, Umaril, the king!

As old as my gums and older than my teeth.

I like the phrase "Somewhere between 40 and death".

Way pass 40 and alot closer to death. How close? Anybody's guess. But, at the moment, 59 and counting down to the big six zero.

I'm 47 . . . going on 12.   :teddyr:

Sometimes I feel like the old fart here.
Trekgeezer is older-and Dennis (WHERE IS HE????) bout the same age.
I think Silverlady may be older (bless her heart)
I'll be 49 next month.

Oh honey, I am older than most here.  (But not all, thank goodness!)  It gets me down, some days.  :bluesad:

Really? Because mostly I figure you for an eight-year-old girl who has, through pluck and determination, avoided being eaten by aliens.

Mostly.

I, on the other hand, am apparently 32 years old. It's funny, because most of the time I do not know how old I am. I actually have to do the math to figure it out (present year minus my age of birth). I thought I was 33 for most of 2010, but then I did the math and figured out I was wrong.

I'm 39. Going to be 40 this fall and still trying to figure out how that happened. Being the youngest in my family by a few years, I grew up being the kid among adults. Not used to being older than other people.

I realized a couple of years ago that in the last 20 years I've gone from being excited about my birthday to viewing it with indifference to thinking "Oh s**t, not another one."

This year, while casually admiring an attractive young woman of 18 or 19, I had my first instance of thinking "I'm old enough to be her father." That was interesting, but very unsettling.

I'm 56 and I think Dennis is a couple of years older than me.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I'm 19 and enjoying every moment of it.

 Enjoy

When I was 19, I was living it up with a hot 26-year-old sugar-mama lawyer girlfriend and playing gigs with my band in Hollywood. Those were sweet times.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

I made the effort to calculate the averages. Counting my age of 43, it makes for a mean (average) age of 36.8. The median age is 37. I guess I learned something from my statistics class.

Me too, I have to do the math every time.  Sometime after 30 I stopped counting, or caring, about the actual number.  Right now I think of myself as "in my 40s" rather than "43."
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I suggest that you all take the realage test . It asks you some medical and lifestyle questions to determine your physical age.

Last time I took it, my real age came out to 42.3

just go to  http://www.realage.com

I'm 43, turning 44 on 9/11  :bluesad: but I still can knock heads with the best of them.  :teddyr:

Let's have a birthday party!  Everyone meet me at Trevor's house!

I'm 47. There seem to be a lot of 47-year-olds posting here. And for you young 'uns, always remember: Experience and treachery will almost always win out over youth and enthusiasm.  :twirl:

So watch your backs.  :teddyr:

I used to think it was mostly my generation that couldn't picture themselves as their true age, but my 86-year-old mother, a member of the Greatest Generation, still views herself as a thirty-something. She says she doesn't feel old, at least mentally. I hope to keep my youthful attitude as long and as well as she has. Now turn down that music, ya punks, I'm trying to take a nap!

19. Two more years and I get to drink.
Not that I care. I prefer root beer.

18. Been legally allowed to drink for two years where I live  :teddyr:
