Yes badmoviephiles, your favorite troll is back.  Now I've got a question.  Its about the year 2000 and how movies before made such a big deal of that year.  I know, 2000 is over 10 years behind us.  We don't see very many movies now making a big deal of it.  But what about the next millennium?  The year 3000?  Yes, I know that is over 900 years away and none of us will be around to see it.  But I've seen only one show that happen in the year 3000 and it wasn't a movie.  Yes, you all know what I'm talking about:  Matt Groening's Futurama!  The exploits of Phillip J. Fry frozen in the years 1999 only to be unfrozen on Dec 31 of 2999.  That tv show has so many reality flaws, its unreal.  I won't get into those.  But I haven't yet seen any movies that make hype of or take place in the year 3000.  Have you?

Odd, I thought cartoons, books, live action films and an old man telling a ghost story by the campfire are equal when it comes to logic. Cartoons has bigger advantage over live action films since they dont added to the cost of the budget.

As what will happen 3000 years from now?

I feel sad that there is a good portion of films lost forever (thanks for poor storage, Hollywood storage fire and the traditional of destroying old films to make room), today film storage is much different so I can see JAWS being played in the year 3000 and be equally enjoy as it was in the 1970's, it might even be more enjoyed since it's a time capsule.

I'm not sure what 900 years would look like... I do believe people watching Star Trek in the 1960's would never thought cell phones in the 1990's.
