Thank you.  I'm blessed with excellent material to start, because it's hard not to find fun in a movie titled "Avenging Disco Godfather."

Disco Godfather was actually the very first Rudy Ray Moore movie that I ever saw. It was in the early 90's and I was in a Saturday Matinee store looking through the budget VHS bin and stumbled across this no budget laugh riot. The "put your weight on it" line that is repeated ad nauseam throughout the film instantly became part of my friend's vernacular. I think the next Rudy Ray Moore movie I saw was then Dolemite, then The Human Tornado, after which I experienced the glory that is Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil's Son in Law.

What never ceases to amaze me about the reviews at this website is the amount of humour Andrew can find in a film, that I am sure was not made to be humorous, such as this one. Good job, Andrew. Way to go.

SO true about the 'put your weight on it' line.

The token white character that interested me more than the cop boss was the one very nerdy-looking but very skilled whiteboy disco dancer.
