KISS were never really good musically...there songs were garbage sex oriented,
I loved them in the 70's.  :teddyr:

They were monsters.
I liked monsters!
Hell..I was 13....KISS was the s**t! I evwn bought Ace Fhreleys solo album.
Which has stood the test of time!
Its good!
SNOWBLIND is classic!

Ace -
I HAD his solo album..it was good.
The rest of the bands solo s**t sucked.

ACE! Was the man.  :hot:

He was too good for KISS.

Back in the 70's.my favorite bands wer Led Zep,the Stones,KISS,and Sabbath.
Blue Oyster Cult were up ther too.
And Aerosmith.
I saw them in concert twice in Kalamazoo!!

Heres live footage of the concert in 1977...I was there!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD2W2lGQPnw

I drank some wine outta a bong in the parrking lot. I got sick and was puking. I passed out during the opening band (EXILE-There song "I Wanna Kiss You All Over was popular then)...Iwoke up in time for Aerosmith.
Best Concert ever.
Aerosmith-in the 70's=were crazy basterds.
Steven Tyler jumped into the audiance (way before stage diving punkers) And he drank whiskey onstage.
Far out.

Picked up a couple of cheap CDs at a flea market yesterday (two bucks apiece! woohoo!) so I've been listening to them in bits & pieces...

Sepultura - ARISE (long overdue upgrade from cassette)

Steve Jones - FIRE AND GASOLINE (solo debut from Sex Pistols guitarist)

Extreme - III SIDES TO EVERY STORY

Slaughtered Grace - CALL THIS PLANET...SLAUGHTERED GRACE (obscure-as-heck demo/CD from a New Jersey based thrash band, released on the Misfits' "Cyclopean Music" label in 1990. Never heard of 'em but it was cheap and it looked old, thrashy and somewhat collectible so I took a shot at it... pretty generic but fun stuff)

It's actually his second solo album. His first one was called Mercy from '87. Both are excellent and you did bloody good getting it for two bucks! It's quite hard to find.

Second one huh? Shows you how much I know about the guy outside of the Sex Pistols. :D
Yea, I haven't seen a copy of this disc in a long time. I was hemming and hawing about buying it till I glanced @ the booklet and saw that it was co-produced by Ian Astbury of The Cult, one of my fave bands, so based on that I assumed that it would sound more like The Cult than the Pistols. Haven't listened to the whole album yet but so far I'd say that was a fairly accurate guess.

That's how I like to buy 'em, "cheap" and at flea markets or garage sales.  I love used CDs as long as they're two dollars.

And here they are, straight from Bedrock with their newest hit...The Beau Brummelstones!

EDIT: I've always loved this song..nothing big or complex about it, just a straight-from-the-heart fun song.

How is that?  I've never listened to that one (reunion albums usually disappoint me).

Sounds very Hair Metal to me; based on samples available here:

It's good. If you approach it from the point that: 1. Blue Cheer got back together and were able to make a new record and 2. Their chops have improved immensely and the production is better. But, I can understand it doesn't particularly have the same vibe as their earlier stuff and the same chaotic magic that made them stand out.

BLUE CHEER made a number of records after LEIGH STEPHENS left.  STEPHENS took the chaotic magic with 'im.
