Wow!

I just read all the reviews so far on The Hulk and you & I may be wrong in our opinions of it!

Go here to read them:  http://us.imdb.com/Title?0286716

I know that there's only 7 or 8 reviews of it but they all give it nothing but high praise.  (except for 1)

They said it was awesome!

I may just spend that hard earned $$$ to see it.

Oh what the hell!

I'm gonna go see it this weekend!

You know everyone said that X-men and Spiderman looked stupid before they came out and looked at how great of movies they were.Of course we have are reservations about the Hulk, but thats natural. No one wants to see the Hulk made into a stupid movie, but I think we should just give it a chance. It may turn out to be really good for all we know.

That is how I feel. I feel the CGI makes him look cartoonish and fake. But let's look at some of the bad CGI in Spiderman. Despite all of that you still had a great story going on. With Ang Lee heading this film up it can't be all that bad.
If God is watching us, the least we can do is be
entertaining.

I'm going to go see it but I fear the movie will be the "exciting" scenes already shown in the trailer and 95% filler.

I think there is too much talk about the CG effects.

I wonder if the script, acting and direction will be any damned good.

Looking forward to it as escapist entertainment, that's all.  If the effects look like effects, so what.  They always do.  Bad effects seldom pull me out of a movie because I ignore the teaching of Lucasberg and do not demand that everything be photo-realistic.  If the characters work for me then I will forgive cartoonish effects.  Hell, even real life dead bodies look fake.

I have faith in Ang Lee.  Just like I have faith in Ronny Yu for Freddy Vs. Jason.  These guys aren't hacks, they take genuine care for their movies and their end products.  If Lee thinks that CGI was the way to go for the Hulk, then I'm with him.  He's the one with the vision.  So the effects might not be perfect, who really cares?  What if the rest of the movie more than makes up for the shortcomings of the effects?  I'm sure a majority of the movie will deal with Banner's transformation and the events leading up to it.  I don't think an action packed comic fest ala Blade II is going to happen in this one.  It'll be more about the build up, IMO.

Mostly positive so far.  Undoubtedly there will be those that trash the movie simply because it's a Hollywood megabudget movie and therefor MUST suck.  Some will jump all over the effects because they don't like the technology, whether it looks good or is well handled within the context of the movie is irrelevant.  My hopes are that it will be a good movie, not just  a special effects show...
