^ Hell Yeah! Saxon still get a bit of flack these days for being bit cheesy or some guff about their looks (which is rubbish, unimportant) but there's no denying their guitar solos are masterpieces. You only have to listen to the above and songs such as "Dallas 1pm", "Power & The Glory" and "Taking Your Chances".

I'm still awaiting the Saxon movie Heavy Metal Thunder (out next month), in which I should be featured and I also have a production credit!

I though Lollapalooza was a rock concert?  The first 9 tracks on this (out of 14) are dance numbers.  I kept the last 3 tracks (by the Mountain Goats and Beirut) and threw away the rest.

"Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse" by Eugene McDaniels. 

This was an unexpectedly pleasant find.  It's a 1971 funk album protesting racism and the Vietnam War, full of strange grooves and slightly deranged lyrics.  Hip-hop guys sample this one a lot.  It's sort of a cult album and I'm glad I gave it a spin.
