...I have quite a history with that album. It's such a strange one. There are times when I love it and times when I couldn't stand it. But, luckily, it's never inspired me to murder celebrities in an effort to bring about a race war, so that's a good thing.
:bluesad:

It's not that strange, although I suppose "Revolution #9" is.

Though LENNON is my favorite BEATLE, this is a strong album for PAULGEORGE too.

I suppose that warrants explaining. I didn't mean strange in the sense of avant-garde, more a feeling the album gives  me. It's something more subliminal for me, I think. Certainly the band was beginning to fracture before The Beatles (the White Album as it is typically called), but even Sgt Pepper had a more optimistic outlook to me, and in this album I could really hear the fracturing and tension and division amongst the artists. The songs felt like they were separate, whereas the previous few albums till felt more like a unit to me. Just a subjective observation. I think that's what makes the album strange to me to where I both love it and hate it. An almost purely subjective observation I'm sure.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Subjective opinion, too.   Yeh, The Beatles... I don't hear fracturing, I hear a band at their songwriting/record producing peak.

I'm listening to THE BEATLES A Hard Day's Night

I used to hear this theme on Trailblazers pre-game shows.

I listened to this soundtrack on the way in to work today. I forgot how good it is an IMO the dialogue clips aren't really necessary and they kind of ruin the flow of the album.

Oddly, I like Ringo the most, although George was quite good as well.

Here you can find a link to the closing song to the film "Went to Coney Island on a Mission From God...Be Back By Five (1998) ---"Lost Point" by Girlfriend. Just scroll down until you see Free MP3 Music and it'll load to play. Cool little tune albeit a bit sad perhaps.
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"
