In my ongoing attempt to understand web culture and its odd fads, I came across this web series called Marble Hornets.  The summary is this:

QuoteIn 2006, film student Alex Kralie suddenly abandons his movie in the midst of production, swearing to burn the tapes and never speak of it again. Alex's friend Jay rescues the taped material and, years later, begins reviewing them...

There's a bit more to it, but that'll be more of a surprise for you.  The series is... quite unnerving and pretty freaky.  It's also really popular and got a DVD release, which shockingly Roger Ebert praised for being rahter good.

So, in case you want to get in on all of this fun, begin here:

I watchd a few of these and they are wonderfully done and do have some creepiness in there.  The slender man sightings are fun because they're so random.  BTW, I found this video below hialrious.  NSFW

Slenderman is an interesting and cool horror figure on the Internet.  Outside of Marble Hornets, there are many series involving it, but this series is prehaps the best one.  I figure everyone might like it, especially around Halloween time.

I watched those last year, and they are mondo creepy!!!
But my favorite bit of Slenderman related lore is the amazing photograph of him on the playground behind the kids . . . I know it's a photoshop created to feed this bizarre internet meme, but that picture still creeps me out!

I'm ready for a Slenderman movie!!! :buggedout:
