Just saw the promo.....B&B will reappearing on thursday. Anybody else gonna catch this. From the promo it looks very interesting.

As much as I liked B&B as a kid, I dont see B&B sticking around. Now, all I need is my Daria back

I'm not generally a fan of revivals, much like my attitude toward movie remakes.

This one, however, I am all for.

One thing I like about this revival, is it brings back a lot of the original crew.  It's not just some network throwing new people into it.

And, MTV is giving Mike Judge more ownership stake.  Originally he only had like, 10% ownership and MTV got all the rewards.  And, he said they weren't doing as much.  Last run they did 70 episodes a year and got burnt out.  Now they'll do something like 15-20 and take breaks.

BUT-will they still play metal videos during the show?
I cant picture them playing rap crap or the new whiney rock you hear nowadays.

It's gonna be a mix.  There'll be metal videos, but also rap, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, etc.

They'll also throw in clips of ACTUAL tv shows, like Jersey Shore and UFC, so they can make fun of that stuff too.

Beavis and Butt-head was just as good, if not BETTER than I'd hoped for.  They really laid into Twilight and Jersey Shore.  Well worth the 14 year wait.

I have to agree it was much better then I was expecting.  I thought that keeping their relevance would be a problem but I think the laughing at the reality form they chose as well as videos will help keep it from being a simple bump in the road.  It seems to still connect and that is what I think will hold it over.
Ah, the good old days.

Just saw an episode.  Maybe the funniest episode of TV I've seen in 4 or 5 years.  Welcome back guys!

Mike Judge has made a huge improvement of the old 90's Beavis And Butthead that I remember. Cant wait to see more episodes.

I caught most of last night's episode. Outstanding work, Mr. Judge! He has managed to adapt them to today's culture while retaining their original charm.

On another note, about Daria...  I bought the box set and watched the entire run in order (I had seen like 3/4s of the episodes, but in random order caught in repeats).  It actually has a pretty good development, and something of a story arc eventually.  I feel the Daria storyline is fairly played out (considering the lead character, the resolution is pretty solid), though I wouldn't mind another movie I suppose with her as an adult in the modern world.

One thing about that possibility that is pretty interesting, is if the one episode that has a flash forward (of sorts) is to be believed, Daria ends up pretty good looking in later life (of course, it was always more her fashion choices that had her drawn unattractively anyway).

So basically...  Another movie I'd say maybe to, but I think more episodes of the series wouldn't make any sense.

A note about Daria though: I love the show, but it didn't really have Judge's involvement. He sold the rights to the characters prior to the show being a hit, so MTV just spun it off, and he was only credited as creator of that character. He did say that he was friendly with the staff there but felt it wasn't needed.

Myself, I liked the show and second the idea of a new tv-movie.

I liked it. Some of the thigns seemed a little clever to be true beavis and butthead but it was still enjoyable.
