My general rule is to not worry about resolutions, but mine is to be nicer to a friend of mine who we make fun of constantly [good natured but my friends and I really should be nicer]

So yeah thats that one.  I guess as a life goal more than resolution is to get a new job.  Now that I'm graduating I need to find something industry related quick.

Jim H: Got the film posted anywhere?  I'd love to check it out.

QuoteAnother: find a girlfriend. I'm pushing 28. Never had one. Or a date. Or sex. Must happen.

Burgo already said it, but remember to relax about this.  It was only when I stopped really worrying about it (in fact, I fully decided to not actually look for a woman until I'd sorted out some life issues) that I found a relationship that counted (I mean that literally, longest one before it was like three dates), and it was only about a year ago.  And I'm around your age.  So, remember, it can happen (and if it can happen to a guy as odd as me, it really can happen to anyone).  Just don't take it *too* seriously, and don't NEED it - as that feeling of need turns a lot of women away.

I dunno if it's helpful, but not too long ago my boat wasn't too different from yours.  You'll get there.

As far as my own resolutions...  Well, last year I was hoping to lose weight.  I didn't lose as much as I wanted, but by the end of this year I think I'll be down around 15 pounds.  I weighed 165 this morning (bit under 180 at the beginning of the year) and I'm 5'11", for what that's worth.  But I have more fat on me than that sounds like (probably need to lose about 15 pounds of actual fat), as my frame is fairly thin and I don't have a lot of muscle.  So, for 2012, I want to get in decent shape.  Doesn't have to be great, just decent shape - want to be able to jog a couple miles without stopping, lift a decent amount of weight without killing myself, and be badass at DDR.  Not a whole lot to ask, really.  I'm thinking I'm going to get into kettlebell exercises - actually looks fun, and I HATE standard freeweights.  Oh, and I recently started jogging.

I vowed to make four short films this year.  I made one.  Oh well.  I'll vow to make four again next year, and actually do it.

Next year, I'm starting grad school, and I'm vowing to actually do a good job - I WILL NOT end up with a Master's and still be unable to find a job.   :hatred:

Last year, I vowed to age a full year.  I will make that vow again, as I have fully succeeded.
Eh.  I make this one every year.  I don't even really think about it.  Meh.  I feel like the dude in 40 Year Old Virgin.  Why even bother.  Just extra stress one doesn't need.  I have video games and the internet.

Still.  It'd be nice.
