Need help finding a film title.

I'm trying to find the name of a mid - late 80's movie where a scientist in a hazmat suit gets burned goes after the ones who did it.  I think the scientist had a girlfriend / wife.  If anyone knows that name it would be great.

That sounds like it might be the original Darkman (1990).

A hideously scarred and mentally unstable scientist seeks revenge against the crooks who made him like that.

Peyton Westlake is a scientist ... When gangsters attack Peyton, he is horrifically burnt, and assumed dead. In his quest for revenge, Peyton, aka the Darkman, is able to take on the appearance of anyone (using the synthetic skin,) but he's only got 100 minutes per disguise.

Good guesses.  The telling difference would be if the guy's brain got put into a robot body.  If so, definitely The Vindicator.

It is The Vindicator.  I saw this movie once or twice when I was about seven yrs old.  Thanks for the help.  Now the search begins for the DVD of it.
