By that I mean ones where 3 or more people are brought together, then each one tells their 'story' , and at the end it turns out they've each committed a 'sin' or wrong-doing of some kind.

there seemed to be quite a few from the 70s whose names I've now forgotten. I know I've seen at least 5 or 6  of them in this style

Vault Of Horror is one though..: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070868/

Actually-Amicus films did some-and thats about it.
Beyond the one you mentioned there was-

,DR.TERRORS HOUSE OF HORRORS (1965)
.TORTURE GARDEN (1967)
.THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD (1971)
.FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE (1972)
.ASYLUM (1972)
.TALES FROM THE CRYPT (1972)

Oddly enuff...they all starred Peter Cushing.

Torture Garden is great!  Unfortunately I haven't seen any of the others listed and I'm sure I'm missing out.

Seems most horror anthologies feature stories of people's evil-doings and them getting their comeuppance, but I didn't realize that so many had this specific way of going about it.

I believe NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR is a similar movie.  I haven't seen it yet, but I believe I may have it in a Mill Creek 50 movie pack . . .

cool, if you ever find out then let me know. would be nice to have a full list of films like his

there was also a spoof TV series from 2001 called Dr. Terrible's House Of Horrible which had an episode parodying this style called "And Now The Fearing...". it's really funny, can't find any clips on youtube though

     That's where it is....

There was also TALES THAT WITNESS MADNESS, a '73 Amicus release, UNCANNY, a Canadian release ('77) that dealt with evil cats, FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE, Amicus '73, not to mention TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE-THE MOVIE, TWILIGHT ZONE-THE MOVIE, CREEPSHOW I and II, and BODY BAGS, from John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.
