I'm sure you've seen him in some movies as a younger man, back when he used to trim his eyebrows.  He was in a 1968 movie reviewed by Andrew.

I didn't think he's be so hard.  He was a British leading man in the 1960s (though never a huge star).  Two of his most notable roles were in movies directed by Italians: a 1966 art film and a 1975 horror film.

This actor appears in my own favorite classic western, in a small but memorable role.  He also played butlers at least a few times... and he's been dead at least 40 years.
