Who asked for this?  Seriously, who asked for this movie?  If you don't remember, Tooth Fairy 1 is a 2010 comedy staring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the title role.  Now, 2 years later, we get this sequel staring Mater himself, Larry the Cable Guy.

No, I'm serious:

I have no problem with the guy himself, but seriously?  Why?  What is the point of this movie existing?  At least it isn't a theater release, but still.  This reminds me of all those Disney sequel releases.

I got nothing else to say.  Someone see this and report back.

I forsee a long, LONG running franchise, something like the Scary movie "series" with D level and lower celebrities filling the role of the Tooth Fairy. I believe we can look forward to Tooth Fairy movies in the future starring such illuminaries as Tom Arnold, Kathy Griffin, Gary Busey, Danny Bonaducci and some, if not all of the Kardashians.

Saw this sitting on a shelf at my local hole-in-the-wall game and movie store. I died a little inside.

Sean Hannity had Larry on his show a few weeks ago and Larry was talking about it as though it was a remake of Lawrence of Arabia:buggedout: :buggedout: :teddyr:

I gotta be honest. I quite liked the first.

The Rock is a decent enough actor, with a great supporting crew of actors with Ashley Judd, Billy Crystal and Julie Andrews.

But any movie starring Larry the Cable Guy (barring the Blue Collar Series, as that's just standup), sucks. No movie where he 'acts' is good.

I believe Pauly Shore is also due for a shot at the Tooth Fairy role...

I actually thought the first was really funny in that cheesy Disney kids flick of the 70's kinda way.

But doesn't even reach those standards.

Or any standards...

I liked the first a lot.  It wasn't great, but not horrible either.  The Rock...excuse me, Dwayne Johnson, is fairly entertaining as an actor, and comes across pretty well despite the script.  Billy Crystal's cameo was fun but brief.

No.

Don't look at me either. I may watch s**t but Larry the Cable Guy is his own little boundary of fail.

The guy is weird to me.  I don't find him really the funny, except in Blue Collar TV, but I sort like the Health Inspector movie and Delta Farce (though that may because of every other actor in that film).

Hell, one of the jokes from Delta Farce still sticks with me and still makes me laugh:

"I'm changing the terror level to pinata red."

*Shrugs* Can't help it I guess.
