Andrew

This is a Filipino film about a man who uses Catholic magic to battle the Devil. That alone makes seeking it out a worthwhile effort for anyone who enjoys bizarre cinema.

Good review Andrew. I've been waiting for this film to pop up on here, I knew it would only be a matter of time. Really great "bad" bad movie, very entertaining and downright bizzare.

I've seen this one, it's based on a true story.

This is one me and a mate caught it on channel 4 years ago; and what a bad film it is.

Exactly the sort of thing we like.

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

JorReno

Wow, is he fighting Toxie in one of those images?  :buggedout:
This one looks pretty bad...still might check it out.

If you are going to mention a cage full of naked women it is only fair that you post a screengrab of it.

I thought about doing that, but realized that I didn't want to go through the trouble of adding that many "CENSORED" black boxes to keep the image PG-13.

It's hard to imagine that a Filipino movie about a man fighting Satan with his Catholic magic would not be entertaining.  Everything is better with Catholic magic.  Just think of what "Aliens" would have been like if the Space Marines were replaced with Catholic sorcerers equipped with holy rods and staves.  That there is some powerful smiting.

This rare gem looks awesome! I'm very glad I found this site!

Torgo

I got this DVD in the mail about a week and a half ago. I thought it was a hoot! The part with the boulder is a particular highlight.

Welcome back, Torgo!  :teddyr:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I am not sure which I love more, this movie or your lovely shoutout to Questron, also one of my favorite RPGs of the Commodore 64/8-bit computer era. I still think it had one of the most satisfying conclusions of any RPG even with all of today's cinematics. However it gets beat out by it's un-official sequel, Legacy of the Ancients imo.  That and Alternate Reality. /sigh......

Anyway, yes great absurd over the top movie. One of my favorites.  The  :twirl: spell from the Prince of Magic is right up there with some of Old Ancestor's high-priest's wierd-ass spells from The Seventh Curse.    I REALLY hope you've reviewed that on your site, if not I've got a DivX to send you sir... :teddyr:

Wow, When I saw the title I was hoping they finally got this guy. :teddyr:
