Locally produced and filmed little creature feature, made in Buffalo for about $7,000 and just picked up for distribution -- DVDs will be hitting shelves sometime next winter.  I have a small role in this :)

SYFY original or The Asylum?
Or neither?

Apparently, neither.

It is a video credited to . . .
Anomaly Effects
Cemetery Dance Publications
IndieGoGo
and Metroshia Productions

Neither Asylum nor SYFY, made entirely in Western New York using primarily Western New York people and production companies.  Buffalo, NY has a thriving independent horror film-making community, and darn near everyone involved in making movies in Buffalo worked on this.  Alternative Cinema is handling the distribution.

Very cool!  I'll keep an eye out for it.  Rating info?

Probably unrated.  Minor gore, some topless girls.

What the heck, it can't be worse than MEGASHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS!

The acting is certainly a lot better! I'd love to know what MEGASHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS cost to make, because SNOW SHARK was certainly made with a lot less money and a lot more heart.

We've had Sand Sharks before, so Snow Sharks are obviously the next logical progression for shark movies to go.  I'm waiting for the day when we have Flying Sharks.

Does the ending involve a snowblower?  'Cause if I was menaced by a snow shark, that would be my first line of defense.

Funnily enough, production began on Snow Shark before Sand Shark was announced.  The creator of Snow Shark and I have been discussing the possibility of a sequel: Space Shark!

When will we see Snow Shark vs Giant Ice-Topus?

I'd watch it.

Great, now the creators have to give Bill Watterson royaltes... which should be about 5 bucks from the looks of it.
