Strangeness of the Day

So, I drove to the store and on the way there I saw something I just had to share.  Standing at the corner was a man dressed in a lime green neon body suit (the kind that cover every inch of the body including the head), with a black fedora, sunglasses, black shorts, and big fake looking gold chain.  He didn't seem to be selling or advertising anything.  He was just standing out there waving to people as they drove by.

And while I've got the topic here, here's another thing that isn't strange to me, but you'd probably do a double take at it.  I live in a trailer park.  About three trailers down, there's a guy that drives a limo for a living, so at any given point if you went down my street, you'd find a stretch limo parked outside a double wide trailer.

So, how about the rest of you?  Anything strange and unusual happen recently to you?

I'm not sure, but maybe it has something to do with today's date.

In NYC, strange would be a family consisting of a mother, father  and kids.

No...actually today is National Pot Smokers Day. Not that I am implying that you smoke pot... Just a coincidence.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

Strangest thing I've seen lately is this idiot running through the pouring rain to pick a leaf of catnip and take it back inside for his cat   :bouncegiggle:

Oh wait...that was me.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

The Bronx was at that time-a s**thole.

And the next day we gathered our couple bucks and went in saw it in some old movie house while we drank whiskey.

lol.. I used to drink , also, did  my share of other substances. I played drums in rock and then punk band, even played at the now defunct CBGB's  in  NYC. I have a love/hate realtionship with just about everything, but, NYC is still the center of just about everything and I've been to dozens of nations and hundreds  of cities  and towns  in this world. It can be messed up, but, so is this whole F#$%'n Planet.

I usta catch all sortsa weird movies-In some grindhouse in Ronkokama-on Long Island.
They usually played porn during the day-but on the weekend they would play kung fu or old early 70's horror films.
Nothing ever new or recent.

This was the EXACT ad the old pervert played at the Friday doubles!

Not all of these-but the acid trip popcorn one.And trailers for films they never showed.
I remeber they had a trailer for the GREAT GATSBY with Rober Redford.
That movie never made it to this s**thole.
What was the name of that dam theater?
Pavillion,I think.
I dunno.
I only went there a couple of times in the year I was there-and I was drunk.
But I remember the ads-and the kung Fu.

Not making fun of handicapped people but there is this blind woman who I sometimes see at the store shopping. She's always holding a cane in one hand and holding a leashed guide dog in the other. The strange part is she kind of walks really fast through the aisles, almost sprint-like, with quick pauses.
Maybe my mind is tinted by what I know about blind people from the movies, but I kind of cringe every time I see her literally rushing through the store.
I guess its not possible for her to bump into things with her cane and dog but still, the fast walking looks risky to me.
I've never seen her actually picking items but I've seen her unpacking her rucksack at the cash register to pay for her groceries.

My strangest thing of the day was learning about the pterodactyls in Citizen Kane!
