You should contact your internet service provider and report it.  You can also call your local police dept. (non-emergency number) and ask to speak to someone about an internet crime.

I get the feeling He's not gonna go that route.
RC, did this kid know of you before this happened?
Any idea what he was looking for?

He's the shmuck who lives upstairs. My son let him use our computer when I was at work. His wife works all day-he plays vido games and smokes pot all day.
The facebook picture-not him. He likely hacked that too.

I agree with what has already been said.  There is no reason to get into a fight because of this.  He is not an immediate threat to you or others.

Unauthorized access to a computer or account is a crime in many jurisdictions, so simply letting the normal authorities handle it would solve the problem.  It sounds like you are escalating things way too far for what occurred.

I've dealt with hackers in the past.  By and large it would be impossible for me to meet them face to face.  I have learned to just let it go.  If someone is an immediate threat to myself or my family (or friends) then force is necessary.  If not, then I don't see the need. There is a rule I've given the kids:  only hurt someone if they are hurting or going to hurt you, and it is impossible for you to walk away.

The last time I had any sort of physical confrontation was about a year ago on the NYC subway.  The person was mentally ill.  He was cursing at people, throwing things, and threatening.  We moved cars to leave him alone in his.  He moved cars too.  We ended up with everybody behind me in the car and him alone in an empty section at one end.  He was not going to get past me, but I didn't force a fight.  Simply stood there as a barrier.  He rolled up on me a few times and acted like he was going to do something, but never tried.

I let it go.
Your right.
It's not worth it.
I have my family to take care of.
I wont stoop to that level.
