I'm just wondering what films you think have the most spectacular miniature pyrotechnics and please try to mention some more obscure films if you can.

Pacman000

I re-watched Message From Space a few days ago and must say that the pyrotechnics are top notch, often on par with higher budgeted movies.

I also must mention Independence Day, for obvious reasons.

Hammock Rider

The only one that comes to mind right away is the Venice scene in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Jumping Kings and Making Haste Ain't my Cup of Meat

Here are some that come to my mind:

1941(the shelling of the amusement park, and the destruction of the dock.)
Aliens(the dropship crash)
Brazil(the ministry blowing up)
Gamera 2(Namely the impressive destruction of a whole tank battalion.
Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo(a brief but great bombing sequence)

Anyone else like to contribute any ideas?
