Character actor Frank Cady (Sam Drucker in Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, and The Beverly Hillbillies) has passed away at the age of 96. He was the only actor to ever play the same character in three concurrently running sitcoms.

In movies he was the man who slept on the fire escape with his wife and their little dog in Hitchcock's REAR WINDOW and the milquetoast but ultimately heroic valet in WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE.

In recent years his name often came up in those "Can you believe they're still alive?" discussions.

So long, Sam, and thanks for all the sody pop.

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

A well remembered and loved face; I'm glad he had a good long life.  Good night, FRANK.

R.I.P. Frank Cady. Always played such a likable character in Sam Drucker.
