Oh good . . . another movie with really bad CGI.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

That just looks like fun. James Best doing an Asylum-style sequel to Killer Shrews, and working with John Schneider again. And Bruce Davison thrown in for good measure.

Bad CGI doesn't bother me in a movie like this. It's the 21st-century equivalent of sticking carpet remnants on a bunch of dogs, albeit not nearly as funny per se.

And yes, Best has become a dead ringer for Scotty. Speaking of which, I'd actually assumed he was already dead. Now he appears to be cashing in on his two most remembered roles.

I attempted to watch the original last year and had to turn off after half an hour out of sheer boredom. to be fair this looks more exciting, although somewhat horrible

So does anyone know when this is coming out? The trailer is from last year.

Love the original and this looks pretty fun too.

Where's Ingrid Goude?!?  :teddyr:

I wonder if there's a homage to the infamous creeping barrels escape plan from the original.

I must admit I'm sorta glad these Asylum and similar films exist if nothing else to give some of my favorite aging actors a chance for featured roles. Sure they're not much higher on the rung than the poverty row crap Lugosi, Rathbone, Zucco, and other genre stars had to suffer at the end of their careers, but they do seem to be having fun and I'm guessing they're getting paid a lot more than the lousy five hundred bucks or so Lugosi would get.

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.
