I wonder if this has anything to do with this wacky weather?

QuoteThe most powerful solar flare of the summer so far erupted from the sun Friday (July 6), the latest in a string of powerful storms this week from our nearest star, space weather experts say.

We've gotten a little rain here in Texas but it's still hot.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

Well, as Anthony Watts points out, we've had worse:

Of course, that was 78 years ago, and this is still a drought. It's always good to keep things in perspective, though.

Interesting graphic.  Media will always try to sensationalize everything, but it is good to remember that whatever the weather does, odds are, at some point in history, it's done it before!

That's the argument I've used against Global Warming....doesn't often work, though.

Here in Whitney,we got a right good rain yesterday evening. It was wonderful.

July storms are so spotty! Saturday it rained 2 1/2 inches at my house, but at my church, about 8 miles or so away as the crow flies, they got 1/4 inch!  We've had a nice wet week here, though - at least a sprinkle every day.  Very rare this time of year!
