BBC's Geoffrey Hughes Passes

Best known to American audiences as the loveable but lazy Onslow on the Britcom "Keeping Up Appearances",Geoffrey Hughes has died from prostate cancer at age 68. He was in a number of other programs including the very popular "Coronation Street".

  R.I.P. Geoffrey Hughes. Onslow often stole the show on "Keeping Up Appearances" whenever he appears and was a great foil of sorts for Hyacinth. Never knew he was on "Coronation Street" too which has become a guilty pleasure favourite of mine these days.

He was in Corrie in the 70s and 80s, also had a long stint in Heartbeat. RIP

I love the bit where Daisy says to Onslow: "You practically tore my dress of my body...!"  And Onslow replies:  "I tore your dress off?  You musta been on fire!"
