If I could make a movie it would be about a great war between man and machine. Now I know that this is kind of cliche but I would take a diffrent direction it in a diffrent direction than past movies.
In the future a great war consumes man kind, as the body count rises man turns to robots to fight there battles. As the machine armys become more advanced and the war becoming more distant from there human creators, the human death toll drops and the machine armys find them selves equaly matched and at a stale mate. The two machine armys, following there programing, search for a way to end the war and defeat there enemys.Eventually a dicision is made secretly among the machines that the only way to end it is to wipe out there creators, man. They reason that this war is a war not against machines but against the ones who had begun it.
The war between man and machine is brutal and devestating, man is forced to leave there former home and head to find a new one. It is here that the story would begin.Man has colonized mars and it is last strong hold against the machines, but the machines are closing in apon them and are determined to wipe them out.The human scientists are trying to find a way to escape the machines, they know that militarly they can not defeat them so they decide they must leave there solar system completely if they are to survive.
They are to escape through a massive jump gate to a solar system far away. The machines are not at all about to let them leave and when they discover the humans plans to escape they send there entire force to destroy the jump gate and wipe out man.
It would be a very brutal story, were any one could die, and mans fate would be uncertin. The end would awsome with a intersting twist that could make for possible sequals.
Ok so that one of my ideas for a movie.I like the idea, its diffrent than what you would usually see in a movie of this type.Share your ideas Id like to hear them.

Smells like popcorn and shame

I hate to tell you this, but that idea was already used for an episode of Star Trek Voyager. Actually, the crew encountered the robots long after they've killed off their creators and each side is looking for a way to gain the upper hand over the other.

a similar sort of storylines have also been in many games: ie man colonizes mars as a last post type thing, and jump gate stuff has been used alot as well.

the only real twist is that humans don't seem to win, yet that isn't too original either
but still, i'd see it :P

after all, i saw wing commander at cinemas and me and my friend were the only ones there! :P

I got an idea...

An entire team formed to dispatch zombies after a worldwide plague has created the living dead. Think GHOSTBUSTERS with zombies, more profanity, nudity, extreme violence, and military-style groups worldwide.

And as the world began crumbling down
Nobody around seemed to care

I would LOVE to make a movie. But I don't think I should tell you guys what it would be about. I might get banned again.

Robot Roll Call: (Come on, let's go)
Cambot (Pan left)
Gypsy (Hi girl)
Tom Servo (What a cool guy)
Croooow! (You little wisecracker)

The movie sound cool if you ask me, if it's done right it might at least get a cult following, sound cool.

If i could make a movie it would be an adaptation of Chuck Palaniuk's Choke. It would be the first Drama/dark comedy/pornographic film. It wouldn't be just a stupid porno but a plot driven movie with some pornographic scenes it would create a whole new genre.

Isn't that what the hated MPAA created "NC-17" for, specifically, movies like what you describe?

You can also just NOT submit it to the MPAA, and get an NR.

Terrorists demand $50 billion dollars not to burn all of San Fransisco to the ground. No one heeds them, and the outskirts catch fire one night. The fire burns in, towards the heart of the city. The objective is twofold: extingush the fire and catch the terrorists. Our main characters are a firefighter, a reporter, and an Army colonel.

This one would have ample destruction, great stunts, and incredible action sequences( including a fistfight in a speeding motorboat, a car chase through a vertible inferno, and the climatic massed battle aboard a cruise ship.)

Anyone like this one?

I didnt relise NC-17 was allowed to get as "hardcore" a XXX. It would probally be best for a movie like that not to even be submitted to the MPAA anyway. If you have every read the source material you'd know how graphic a film would be.

The problem is that a city almost certainly wouldn't burn out of control like a forest fire. While neighboring buildings sometimes catch fire, it would have a hard time crossing streets, parking lots etc.

>I didnt relise NC-17 was allowed to get as "hardcore" a XXX.

The original adult rating was X, which was given to any movie deemed too strong for an R. The MPAA didn't copyright the X though, so porno makers started using it on their films, as well as calling them XXX. Because of this, X-rated came to mean pretty much the same as "porn" in most people's minds and no mainstream film would take the chance of having their movie get an X. The movie industry wanted a new, adults-only rating, so the MPAA created NC-17. Unfortunately, since it was stated that NC-17 was the same as the ORIGINAL X, what most people heard was "NC-17 is the same as X", and so many people now think "NC-17 = porn", which is why studios still avoid NC-17, many theaters won't play NC-17 movies, many newspapers won't advertise them, etc.

i see JohnL thanks for the quick history lesson. All these guide lines make things confusing.

Give gammaray117 a rest! Haven't you heard of a)gas lines, b) explosions, and c) dramatic licence! I, personally, love this idea. A fight to the death in a burning high-rise with fire-fighting implements would great, and I love people running around on fire. I'd see it!

Could always just use strategically planted bombs, too...

C'mon, no love for my idea?
