I was just a victim of downsizing by a DVD/Blu-ray producer specialized in releasing Cult movies I was friends with on Facebook. He was kind enough to let people know about downsizing, as he is going to use FB for family only, and business partners.
Still feels kind of awkward, especially after my friends request was rejected by a director of a favorite B-Zombie flick of mine.
This won't encourage me in leaving FB though

I have never really had any problems with Facebook. I use it to talk
to friends and friends of people I know. I don't waste a lot oftime
there playing games, though.

I don't think not logging into Facebook for a really long time automatically deletes the account because I'm still facebook friends with a friend of mine who passed away a few years back. I think you have to do something with your settings.

I discovered last week what a nasty place FB can be: my high school's FB site was posing questions about the teachers we had and with few exceptions, my teachers hated me, the feeling was mutual and I said so. Whoa: the messages I got - talk about a flame war!
