Yep, gets it into your blood a lot faster than drinking. Much more dangerous too, because you can't throw up if you take too much. I've read about alcoholics with stomach trouble who resorted to wine enemas, then passed out and absorbed a fatal dose.

it is a thing, however, the usage of it is much lower than what the media wants you to believe. out of all of my friends who drinks (yes, underage ), I think 3 of them have heard of alcohol enema, but didn't want to try it because, well, it is a disgusting concept to them.
yeah no.

Oh,dear....some folks will try anything. It sounds very dangerous and just plain disgusting.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

I was just talking to someone about this a few minutes ago.  I knew that alcohol poisoning was much more likely but was unaware of the specifics.  Thought that it was also dangerous as it bypassed the liver.  Oh well, you learn something new everyday or something you didn't think about in a certain way.

Thanks for the additional info AndyC.
Ah, the good old days.

Criswell

Thought you all would like to know that I live here, and no I haven't tried it.
