Hope all you East Coasters have your hatches battened down and are prepared. Good luck. Hurricanes/major storms are one of the things I do not miss about living on the East Coast.

The Burgomaster

I live in Billerica, Massachusetts, which is north of Boston not far from the New Hampshire border.  I work in New Hampshire (which is where I am right now).  So far, we've just had some rain.  My area won't be hit as bad as some others.  We are far enough east to avoid the brunt of the storm, which is heading for Western Massachusetts and New York.  We are far enough inland that we won't get any of the nasty sea effects.  A power outage may be looming, however . . .

Currently sitting in work at RI.  I have no intetions of leaving early.  It is gusty but nothing I haven't seen living around here before.

I see you guys are following Lindsay Lohan's advice!

"WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..?" [Lohan] tweeted Sunday night. "Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace."

We're right in the middle of the current projected path, but are not on the coast and will be shielded from the wind by New Jersey.  Still, should make for quite a night tonight.

I had to work today. it was a little ridiculous. I'm holed up now with ample supplies https://twitter.com/lesterhalfjr/status/262983379526483969/photo/1/large

We're getting massive rain & wind right now. I had to work today (at a restaurant, no less, like people would come out), but we closed early in the afternoon. I came home to no phone or cable.

My aunt and her kids were evacuated, and the worse is yet to come.

You guys are going to get some of the worst of it.  Stay safe.

If you look at the NOAA map showing Sandy's projected path over DE, we're right under the black line.  The good thing of course is that the worst of the wind will be north of us.

I have been away for most of the day and have only recently been checking on news about it.  For all on the east coast, be safe.  Hoping for the best.
Ah, the good old days.

It's Frankenstürmen, actually.

I hope everyone is OK: the footage I saw was frightening.  :buggedout:

I was watching aftermath footage this morning too; and wow.  Where I live it's been drought and fires all year so it's kind of weirdly fascinating, but scary.
Hope everyone here is okay.

We didn't get hit very hard.  My neighborhood is strewn with leaves and branches, but nothing serious.  About 20% of the homes in my town lost power and many of them still have no power.  My lights flickered 5 or 6 times during the storm, but they stayed on.

Allhallowsday hasn't posted in a couple of days and I believe he's in New Jersey. Probably just power issues.
