Tonight I finished the epilogue to my novel, and it is finally complete.  Begun on March 29 of this year, my work ran on for 27 chapters - a total of 453 pages, over 166,000 words.  It is the greatest sustained effort I have ever put into any single writing project, and I am hoping to find a publisher sometime in the next year.  The working title is THE TESTIMONIUM PILATUS; it may be shortened to THE TESTIMONIUM - or some other abomination decided on by an editor who does not like my choice of titles!
Anyway, the finished product is a Biblical archeological thriller with lots of action, some fascinating history, some very solid New Testament apologetics, Islamic terrorists, romance, death, explosions, car chases, and lots of good Italian food!  I hope that, if it ever sees the light of day in a bookstore, that all of you will take the chance to get a copy - and yes, I will be glad to sign them for you!!!

Sounds good, pity about the talking pie, but you can't have EVERYTHING. Good work!

Way to go, indianasmith!

If you get it published, I will definitely buy a copy, but only if it is signed by yours truly. (Not me, you.)

I do reserve the right to criticize it, but anybody on this board, and with such a good taste in genre cinema, deserves my attention (and meager buying dollar).

Hope it all works out for you!
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

The Gravekeeper

Best of luck! If you find a publisher, I'll have to get a signed copy from you (it's not everyday you get a signed copy of a book that didn't originate from a very bored author just sitting at a table in a bookstore or swamped at a convention, after all).

That sounds like what I go through on a daily basis.    :teddyr:

Seriously, great news, Indy

Congrat's Indy!  Sure beats the first 15 pages of about 5 novels that I've written  :bouncegiggle:

My best wishes on finding a publisher.

Well congrats. Here's hoping all your hard work will pay off. If its published, I'll buy a copy.

(but I can skip the autograph.  No offense, but I don't want the pen marking up my kindle)
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

The Burgomaster

This is great news and I would absolutely buy a copy of it!  I would also like to volunteer to model for the cover art.  I'm envisioning me wearing a torn shirt, bronzed muscles rippling, carrying a naked woman through the ruins.  Think about it.  I'm willing to work cheap.

Hmmm.  That might help a bit with the middle aged housewife demographic, but I'm not so sure it would help me reach the college age kids I'm hoping to sell with!

Congratulations on finishing it.  I can't remember when you started but it seems like it's been a short turn around [though I have no concept on how long these things should take.]

Is it finished and done, or are you finished ovearall but still to do the usual 'edit and tidy'.

If you need someone more of college age, I'd be happy to take Burgo's place on the cover art, though the bronzed muscles may not be something I can contribute.  Am happy to settle with the naked woman if all else fails: I am ok to make that sacrifice...

     Ditto for me.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.
