It's called "Buffalo Rider" and it's from 1978.  Doesn't appear to have a DVD release, but it looks awesome.

It was reviewed in an old Shock Cinema. That's crazy that the guys rides a buffalo. If I remember correctly there is a really good raccoon vs snake fight scene or something haha

edit: Wow i'm watching at 1hr 18 he's on the bison chasing wolves around. He has no shirt and a fur coat on. a little crazy
