Sadly, both passed away on Christmas Eve:

Klugman and Durning (both of whom died Monday, Klugman at 90 in Los Angeles, Durning at 89 in New York) spent storied careers building catalogs of roles that classed them indisputably as "character actors..."

Not only that, but again it seems that with the passing of Larry Hagman, Hollywood stars have that strange but very predictable pattern of passing away in groups of 3. Strange, isn't it?
