:twirl: Here are the movies I'm trying to find, plus a few I know about. Maybe those will help someone else!

1. Commercial from the early 70s, seemed to be a grainy "grindhouse" type horror movie, something about a haunted house left to some greedy relatives who then got their just desserts. The one scene I remember was an old woman being crushed to death in a bedroom by the dusty walls closing in with the voiceover saying, "And for aunt Alice, a room of her own!"

2. Another early 70s B movie, think it was 'Lurch" from Adams Family playing an axe murderer? Something about him sneaking in through the back screen door of a dark country farmhouse, with the police on the way, but they can't get there fast enough.

3. Terrifying short B&W film about a woman trying to get out of NY while zombies with white faces chase her? At the end they chase her down a beach and the cops find nothing but footprints...

4. Hammer film about Dracula, at the beginning and end his crypt is way, way underground in a HUGE old vault, only at the end the two heroes chase him with a cross, then stab him with a stake.

5. Only saw the first few minutes of this one, but was a scientist in Africa with some natives outside his house, then what appeared to be a monster sewing loom (Yes, I know, a sewing loom) rushes into the room and bites his arm.

...and the three I know. The one about the "flying killer umbrella" is "Not of This Earth", the one about the monster totem pole is "From Hell It Came", and the one about the killer tumbleweeds is an Outer Limits episode called "Cry of Silence". Good luck!

The first one sounds a bit like Legacy of Blood from 1971, but I don't think there's anyone named Alice in that movie.

The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Stormageddon

Not sure about the others, but #3 is CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1962).

Not sure of the others, but I have seen the movie you're speaking of..I believe it's "The Hearse" with Trish VanDevere OR "Burnt Offerings" with Karen Black and Oliver Reed (yes, the same guy that played the werewolf in that old British movie from the early 60's.)

:hot: Thanks for "Canival of Souls"... Saw it on YooToob. Creepy film! But I've seen "Burnt Offerings" and that's not it. And I think "The Hearse" is from 1980?

The commercial I baaaaaarely remember is from the very early 70s. It's also not "Legacy of Blood", didn't see anyone being crushed in a haunted room on the YouTube version...

Found a couple of other old jems in my searchings. Ever see the weird late 70s film on Elvira about the zombie soldiers in Sweden? It's called "Night of the Zombies". Z grade so bad it's funny! Another one is "The Alien Factor", 1979, the one about the alien zookeeper... Looks like a budget of $50, with some change left over for a case of Schlitz. (burp)  :bouncegiggle:

4. If you use Hammer and Dracula in the same sentence, then there is only one name you need to know Chris Lee.

Hammer made other vampire films, but I don't remember any of them having a vampire named Dracula.

Thus, here are the Hammer films in which Lee appeared as Dracula. In reverse order, from his last appearance to his 1st appearance.

The Satanic Rites of Dracula
Dracula A.D. 1972
Scars of Dracula
Taste the Blood of Dracula
Count Dracula (non-Hammer)
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave
Dracula Prince of Darkness
Horror of Dracula

Excluding the first/last, depending upon how you look at 'em, it could be any one of these. Though, if I was forced to make a guess, I'd say the most likely candidates are "Dracula Prince of Darkness" and "Dracula Has Risen from the Grave."

And good luck in all your searches.
