I Need Help

Remember a few years ago when I started that "Let's Help RC" thread?

I organized an effort to get everyone together to help him out in his time of need.
Now the shoe is on the other foot and I'm the one who needs help.

I was evicted from my apartment yesterday and only have a few days before I have to be out. It's freezing cold and I don't know where I'm going to go.
I can't find work. I've applied to job after job and I either don't get a response or get the runaround when I ask why I was not hired. I'm not a felon and the last time I was in trouble with the law was over 15 years ago. No place will give me a straight answer as to why they won't hire me. The Airsoft business is on hiatus for the winter and doesn't start until the end of February so there's no income from that now.
On top of everything, my car is experiencing mechanical problems.

I am completely and totally broke. No money at all. I don't even have cans to take back to the store.
How did I let this happen?

I have hit rock bottom. If any of you can help, I would be eternally grateful. (I hate to even post this here because it's embarrassing)

I am tapped out at the moment - and that's not a brush-off, I have about $5 in checking at the moment - but if I make some sales in the next few days I'll send you some help.

As far as companies not telling you why they didn't hire you: I think this is common. My company does the same thing. Some people will try to sue companies for discrimination or whatever by taking the company's reason for not hiring them and having a slick lawyer twist it around. We avoid giving specific reasons.

I wish I could send you some money but I'm in dire straights myself for the same reasons you are.

The vicious cycle of college loans and companies never getting back to me when I fill out an applications sucks.

I'm sorry to hear about your hassles Ash and I wish I could help, but South African money is worth almost nothing compared to US$. Were you in SA, I would send you something without you having to pay me back at all.

I hope things will get better for you quickly.

I'm in no position to help financially. All of my money is spoken for by bills, and even a few dollars here or there is a hardship at the moment. I'd like to help, but I really can't do it right now.

Ash even though I hardly know you, I do really want to help. However, I am have having troubbles accsessing your email though is there another way I can wire you a bit off money (Not a lot mind you) to help you? If anyone else reading this knows off a way or why the email is failing PM me.

Also what area are you in I may be able to ask around to see if anyone knows off work or a place to stay in your area. (No Promisses but I would love to try anyways for your sake.) I am sorry your going through this. I so badly hope you pull through this, I heard someone here say "I know your not religious but I will pray for you" I will do the same. I hope you don't mind.

I tried several routes, and they failed, PayPal worked.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. (even those who aren't able to help)
It was very difficult for me to come on here and ask but I knew you guys would help because everyone here are good, friendly people. Always have been, always will be.

So far you guys have given me about $250 which I used to get the brakes fixed on my car and to pay back some money I borrowed from a friend. It's looking like I'll need to be out of my place by Tuesday (1/22). Everything is packed up and ready to go but still no place to live yet. Went to the workforce development place and filled out more applications than I can shake a stick at. Hopefully everything will work out well.

If any of you are still able to help out I would really appreciate it. I've still got a long way to go.
