Let me start by saying it was REALLY hard trying to decide where to post this.  Bad Movies or Off Topic.

Huh.
I saw some MIG-17s, MIG-21's a couple of either SUKOI-27's and 'Frogfoot' ground attack ships...and a lot of planes with parts missing.
Of course, who knows whats underground...

North Korea WANTS to be an evil empire SO badly . . . but they are forever doomed to play the part of Igor to China's Frankenstein!

Or, as I once explained it to my kids, "North Korea envisions itself as a snarling pit bull barely restrained by the Chinese leash, but it's really more like a chihuahua with a hormone imbalance!"

Maybe they are going for  a "Mouse that Roared" Scenario. We invade then rebuild their country.

I'm amazed at the DPRK, its like a communist theme park, or some sort of experiment.  I can't stop reading about it.

No!  The Glorious Leader made that entire video himself using only one black crayon, which is also made himself.  All hail the Glorious Leader!

That reminds me of what Sam Neill did with a single black crayon in the film In the Mouth Of Madness  :buggedout:

I view North Korea as a sad story.

Now, we all know North Korea as basically being the craziest of crazy. It's well deserved, the people in charge of that country are f**king lunatics.

The inherent tragedy involves the people who have to live there. It's basically a nationwide cult. Amidst widespread starvation, they are still subject to a cult of personality. I don't remember who made the documentary, I think it was National Geographic, but the people who live there don't question the basic s**ttiness of having to live in North Korea. They don't have any idea that there's anything better.

Does the rest of the world have to worry about North Korea? Well, a little bit, yes. The problem is that North Korea has militarized their own citizens, so if it came down to out and out war, they've got a lot of people ready to fight. That's why nobody really wants to step in and say something.

On the other hand, they're lunatics. They say they have nuclear capability and are doing test runs. If I had to guess, I'd say it's all bulls**t. Insular culture that is not afraid to starve its own citizens is probably a lot less technologically savvy than they'd like to portray.

I was kind of hoping that the death of Kim Jong-Il would lead to end of the soul-sucking lunacy that is North Korea. But his offspring seem to be fine with things as they are.

The real question is why does China continue to support them? What good does that do to them, or anybody for that matter?
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

North Korea makes China look reasonable in comparison and provides a nice distraction/diversion in the world press.

I think I should send Kim Jong Un a pair of my undies: they shall set you free, just like prune juice.  :tongueout: :buggedout: :twirl:
